This product could then be used to plug into the phone port to use ethernet cable to carry the phone signal across your building where it can be converted back to provide a phone jack connection to plug in your phone.

Answer:Definitely no. The cable is for connecting a DSL modem with an RJ-11 connector to a wall outlet using an RJ-45 connecting to a CAT5 cable to a whole-house DSL filter. If your printer has Ethernet capability, you need a a CAT5 jumper that can easily be found on Amazon or from other sellers. This jumper can connect from RJ-45 router Ethernet connectors on your modem to the printer.

If your phone is an old multil-ine POTS type phone that used an 8 contact RJ-45 female connector, it is possible the cable will work with line 1 on the multi-line phone. It may also be possible you are trying to connect a VOIP phone to the Ooma Linx -- which will not work.
