The BC-B2 has a button trigger. You can set this up to only broadcast after a click (like a silent alert), or you can configure the button beacon to broadcast normally but then to modify the broadcast UUID for a set period of time after a click. Sort of like having one beacon broadcasting during normal times ("everything is ok"), then a “second” beacon broadcasting after sensing clicks ("special situation alert!"). | You can even assign different click types (single, double, triple) to different broadcast slots. For example, if you have a home automation system, you could have a single click trigger one automation, a double click trigger a different automation, and a triple click yet another automation. | This beacon has a 16 month battery life (CR2032 battery is included). The battery is easily replaceable after 16 months. (Based on 0dBm TX, 1000ms interval, and unconnectable setting). On the other hand, if you configure this beacon to only broadcast for X seconds after a button click, the battery could easily last for almost ten years depending on how often you clicked the button. | The BC-B2 has the typical adjustable broadcast power levels (called “TX” in beaconese), but it also has a super weak level of -40 and a strong level of +4, plus quite a few intermediate choices between these two extremes. You can use these if you want the range of the beacon to be very short or very long. | You can adjust the frequency of the beacon broadcasts that are sent out by the beacon (called “interval” in beaconese). More frequent broadcasts are easier for scanners/smartphones to “see”, but that also uses more battery power. The default is one broadcast every 1022.5 milliseconds, i.e. one broadcast every 1.0225 seconds. | Broadcasts your choice of iBeacon, Eddystone TLM, Eddystone URL, and/or Eddystone UID format.
