HDMI to HDMI + Audio (SPDIF + L/R Stereo) Overview HDMI audio extractor has HDMI input and output, one Optical SPDIF and RCA L/R audio output. It extracts digital audio embedded in HDMI source and outputs via optical SPDIF (up to 5.1 Dolby Digital and DTS) or 2CH RCA L/R stereo analog.Three Audio EDID Settings 1.2CH Mode: Set 2CH to get analog stereo. The AHE01 extracts digital 2CH PCM audio from HDMI and convert it to 2CH analog stereo output through the RCA L/R port. 2.5.1CH Mode: Set 5.1CH to get 5.1 digital surround. Change it between 2CH, 5CH or pass. 2. Turn Off Dolby Digital Plus Because TOSLINK (SPDIF) does not support Dolby Digital Plus, you need to turn off Dolby Digital Plus function of the input devices. Then the sound can go through the extractor. a: Amazon Fire TV or Amazon Fire TV Stick. Settings - Display Sound - Audio - Dolby Digital Output - Dolby Digital Plus off. c: Chromecast Chromecast plays the contents from your video source, please make sure to turn off the Dolby Digital Plus on the video source through the play devices. 3.If you use the HDMI to DVI or HDMI to VGA cable for the video, you may experience no audio out.
