Sena Parani-SD1000 Bluetooth to RS-232 ConverterThe Parani-SD1000-00 from SENA Technologies is an RS-232 serial to Bluetooth adapter. It includes Bluetooth v2.0 core electronics, radio circuitry, antenna and management software all in a compact package. It is an affordable and easy way to convert RS-232 communication to a short range wireless connection. Designed to be low power, it offers high performance and reliable data throughput for a wide range of industrial wireless applications. It is ideal for truck and bus monitoring, machine diagnostics, oil and gas productions, surveying, and remote monitoring.The SD1000-00 can transmit up to 100 meters with the included 1 dBi stub antenna or up to 1000 meters with a high gain patch antenna. It supports up to 4 simultaneous connections, Frequency Hopping Spread Spectrum to minimize radio interference, authentication, and Bluetooth data encryption. SENA?s suite of device management tools allows a user to configure, probe and pair the SD1000. It offers backup utilities to store configuration files to a computer. And, the software supports terminal emulation, remote firmware upgrades, reboot and data exchange for Android smart phones.The SD1000-00 includes these accessories: - DC power cable (DPA-G01) - USB power cable (UPA-G01) - Stub antenna (SAT-G01R) - Gender Changer (FM9GD-G01)The module may be powered using the USB or DC power cable, port powered using the pin 9 of the DB9 connector, or battery pack (sold separately).
