How to Confirm Lens Hood

1)  How to confirm hood size?

     Camera's lens thread size will be marked "Ø" (diameter) &"??mm" symbol, for example: Ø52 = 52mm lens thread size, and then you choose 52mm.

2)  How to select hood mode( ☞ Long focus   ☞ Standard focus   ☞Vented    ☞ Filmy vented    ☞ Wide angle)?

• To redcue scattered light and prevent  vignetting, we need to select the most appropriate hood for lens.
• Same size hood, generally, vignetting posibility: long focus > standard focus > vented  > filmy vented > wide angle.
• Just for reference! for full frame sensor camera, focus<16mm: wide angle,  focus 16-24mm: filmy vented, focus 24-28mm: vented, focus 28-40mm: Standard focus, focus >40mm: long focus.
• Vignetting also is affected by lens size / camera sensor size / camera brand(design)/lens design.
• If have no experience, contact with us, we will share some advice or information although we didn't test all lens and hood.
