DescriptionThe Sirchie Hi-Fi Volcano Latent Fingerprint Powder is a black oxide powder for developing latent (non-visible) prints on nonporous surfaces such as painted wood, metal, and most plastics. The black color of the powder enhances contrast with light-colored surfaces. The powder adheres to oily or moist deposits, particularly sebaceous secretions that may contaminate the fingertips. It produces optimal results on newer prints found on dry, smooth, non-adhesive surfaces. Excess powder can be removed using a duster (sold separately). The jar contains a 2oz. (59mL) volume of powder.
